About me

I have over 18 years of experience in translating and voice-over work and over 20 years' experience in proof-reading, editing and revision, working on a wide range of texts and text types.

I work at all times not only to translate the meaning and sense, bearing in mind the wider cultural implications, but also to convey the nuances and subtleties of tone, style and register which make each text unique. I apply the same rigorous criteria to proofreading, editing and revision assignments.

A number of my translations have been published, numbering tourist albums and guides, scholarly works, exhibition catalogues, interviews with prominent political figures and poems among them. Numerous works on which I have collaborated as an editor have also been published, including EU reports and literary works, as well as songs for album release.

A film for which I provided the English subtitles went on to win prestigious international awards and an Oscar nomination (2010). Plays I translated have received top reviews in England, the USA and Europe and awards such as the Scotsman Fringe First and Critics Awards (Edinburgh Fringe)

In voice-over work I provide not only linguistic precision, but also clarity, naturalness, expressiveness and the voice to suit the nature and purpose of the text.
